DFK students are back from Nexus Maximus V!
With the lead of professor Semee Yoon (DFK co-director), the DFK student delegations participated in the 5th iteration of Nexus Maximus, a parent project at Nexus Design Factory, Thomas Jefferson University during Chuseok holiday.
The participating students were assigned a specific zipcode in Philadelphia to tackle local challenges under the theme of "improving lives through healthy communities." In teams of multidisciplinary and international students from 9 different universities, our students identified local challenges and delivered solutions through a 4-day intense workshop.
Congratulations to Taegun Park (CTM 14) for winning the top prize. Gahyun Kim (IID 13) and Nahye Kim (IID 15) were also awarded the productio est paratum (most production ready) award and Aalto Ventures Program Award in recognition of their entrepreneur spirit. We hope this experience will lead to continued efforts to become social innovators and change-makers.
We extend our appreciation to Nexus Design Factory for hosting this wonderful program. We are also thankful for the support from Yonsei Center for Social Innovation.
