The 7th SDGs Youth Summer Camp unfolded from August 16 to 19, 2023, as a remarkable four-day experience to empower young visionaries to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Signifying a new chapter, this camp was the first mask-free event since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Out of a competitive pool of over 60 applicants, a cohort of 21 future leaders from 12 countries were chosen to converge and focus on SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. The camp adopted a hands-on approach, emphasising design thinking to create user-centred solutions. A robust line-up of academics and experts led various workshops and lectures, helping participants through the design thinking process and multifaceted view of SDG 6. The enthusiasm was palpable among the six groups as they diligently brainstormed, prototyped, and presented innovative solutions to current water and sanitation challenges. Far from being merely an educational event, the 7th SDGs Youth Summer Camp was an incubator for young minds eager to contribute actively to fulfilling the SDGs and substantially impact our world.
